The fund aims to generate long-term capital growth, from investing in a range of equities, equity-related securities and derivatives relating to UK equity indices and securities. The managers will seek to meet the investment objective through a technique called ‘pairing’ which aims to minimise market related risks usually associated with investing in UK equities (‘beta’), whilst isolating the stock specific returns (‘alpha’).
